II. Sin has a cause!
     A. The leader's deception. The leaders soft-peddled the truth & said what the people wanted to hear. Impatience with the Word is ultimately impatience with God--leading to ruin.
     B. The people's defection. Jeremiah 44:16-18
III. Sin has a consequence!
     A. For the righteous-restoration.
     B. For the unrighteous-retribution.
