Philippians: The Letter of Joy, Week Twenty

Christians can have true joy because of our fellowship with God and one another through Jesus Christ.

1. We can have deep fellowship in the Gospel (1:1-11)
2. We have a God who is providentially over everything and a Savior who is worth everything (1:12-26)

• We are called to live our heavenly citizenship in the here and now (1:27-2:30)

1. Our heavenly citizenship effects our fight for joy (3:1), for the truth (3:2), to press on (3:12, 14), for the lost (3:19), for unity (4:3), against anxiety (4:6), for thoughts and a life that is pleasing to God (4:8-9), for contentment (4:11, 13), and to use what God has given for Him (4:16)
