In what ways does life ever humble you?
To be humbled means that you are made to feel or see your own weakness and frailty. We know we should humble ourselves with one another (5:5). In today’s verses we are admonished to humble ourselves under or before God. The tense of the verb could be translated ‘be humbled.’ Make or bring yourself low under God’s mighty hand.
