Summoned to Holiness

A summons can come in many forms.  A formal summons can come from a judge that requires you to appear in court.  A less fromal summons may come from your boss, spouse or parent strongly suggesting that you do something.  The Bible uses the language of being summoned to help us understand the saving work of God in our lives.  If you are a Christian, then it can be said of you that you have been summoned by or called by God.
