What We Believe: Pneumatology

"We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin,
makes believers children of God through the new birth, assuring them of Heaven,
and by His indwelling enables Christians to live a godly life."

I. The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3,4)
II. The Holy Spirit is Convicting (John 16:7-11)
III. The Holy Spirit is Generating (John 3:5-8; Titus 3:4-7; 1 Corinthians 12:13 - baptism)
IV. The Holy Spirit is Assuring (Ephesians 1:13,14; Romans 8:15-17)
V. The Holy Spirit is Indwelling (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19,20)
VI. The Holy Spirit in Enabling
     2 Corinthians 3:18 - Sanctifying (set apart from sin & to God)
     Ephesians 5:18-21 - Filling (keep on being filled or controlled by the Spirit)
     1 Corinthians 2:9-16 - Illuminating
