More to pass on to another generation than stuff. The patriarchs passed on promises that they believed by faith.

I. Isaac (verse 20; Genesis 25:21-23; 27:1-28:5)
     By faith in the sovereignty of God! He was awed to the depth of his soul by the sovereign work of God. God chose Jacob for His purpose, best explained best in Romans 9:6-16. God's plan stands.

II. Jacob (verse 21; Genesis 47:28-49:33)
     By faith in the security of God. He believed God to be his shepherd and guide. In God, we are secure.

III. Joseph (verse 22; Genesis 50:24-26)
     By faith in the synchronizing of God. Joseph said' "You meant evil, but God meant it for good!" Romans 8:28 is on display!

Next Steps:
     > Yield in obedience to the strong loving hand of the Lord. Faith views the precepts as well as the promise.
     > Keep on making decisions of faithfulness to the very end.
     > Worship God by passing on to your family what really matters. How much time are you building into the eternal?
     > Rest in the assurance of the promises of God.
