Fit For A King: The Triumphal Entry

April 13, 2014

Scripture: Matthew 21:1–21:11

Section1: Matthew 21:1-11
Section 2: Mark 11:1-10
Section 3: Luke 19:28-40
Section 4: John 12:12-19
What did we all see and hear? What is the significance of that? We saw four witnesses!
So why so significant? Because it’s Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Jesus, the Prince of peace is entering the city of peace on a beast of peace declaring He is the King of Peace and the one who brings peace and in whom peace is found.

First, Jesus declares His Kingship by riding on a donkey

Secondly, the crowd’s response

Thirdly, the Kingship of Jesus will look different in the Future (Revelation 19:11-16)
Conclusion: So this Palm Sunday, we see Christ’s entered Jerusalem in a way fit for a King! The Prince of peace is entering the city of peace on a beast of peace declaring He is the King of Peace and the one who brings peace and in whom peace is found.
