In 2025 we will use the Discipleship Journal reading plan. This plan has four readings per day for 25 days in a month. The four readings are: (1) a Gospel account, (2) Acts/NT letter, (3) a wisdom book, and (4) Old Testament. The advantages to this plan are:

•A variety of readings in a single day

•Days-off can be reserved for catch-up or further meditation on particular passages.

•A personalized plan if the entire Bible in a year seems to be beyond reach for you in this time of your life. For instance, if you completed the first and second readings of each day, you would read through the entire New Testament in a year.

How can you participate?

•Watch out for a printed schedule that you can use all year long.

•Readings will be posted on Sunday’s bulletin and Wednesday’s newsletter.

“Connect” to the plan using Bethel’s Faithlife site. This requires you to create a Faithlife account. If you already have an account from participating this past year, you can just log-in to the account you already have. You will find the reading plan to “connect” with on the right-hand side of the page. Once you connect, you will receive daily emails with that day’s reading. You can also interact with other participants by posting questions, articles, and other comments regarding the readings.
