The Emergent Church Movement (ECM) is a growing heresy among twenty and thirty-somethings in the church today. This movement is not well defined, but it does have a distinct tie with postmodern thought and philosophy. In other words, the ECM seeks to redefine the fundamental doctrines of the faith when they do not mesh with postmodern thought.
